In this active, hands-on workshop you will learn practical ways to integrate Brain Gym into your school program. Experience a variety of ways to introduce Brain Gym to your students, new spelling approaches, games for your classroom, Brain gym clubs plus more. Learn how Liz used Brain Gym to dramatically improve her Grade 3 EQAO test scores. Get ready to move to songs incorporating Brain Gym into fitness routines.

The other half of the day will focus on ENVoY: "Seven Gems of Classroom Management" created by Michael Grinder, M.A.

ENVoY teaches cutting-edge classroom management skills that will improve teaching within the 4 phases of each lesson:

  1. getting students' attention
  2. teaching
  3. transition to seatwork
  4. seatwork

Participants will walk away confident and ready to implement ENVoY skills into their program and maintain enthusiasm and longevity.

Photo: Liz Jones-Twomey Liz Jones-Twomey is a dynamic, compelling presenter and a practicing elementary school teacher with over 20 years of experience in all divisions within the Waterloo Region District School Board, Ontario, Canada. Liz is also and International Brain Gym® Instructor and International ENVoY Classroom Management Trainer.

Liz has presented nationally and internationally and published research on at-risk students. In 2002, she received the International Teaching Through Movement Award for her work with Brain Gym in the classroom. She was also the recipient of the W.T. Townshend Award for Teacher Excellence, 2003.

Liz is co-creator of the Internationally acclaimed and multi-award winning CD's, "Catch a Brain Wave, Fitness Fun" & " Smart Fitness, Smart Foods" CD and DVD. All 3 products have won top Ten Best Active Products for kids in the USA. This music based CD is a collection of energizing movements to stimulate brain development while promoting physical fitness.
