Course description: Rhythmic Movements are gentle rocking and rolling
movements that stimulate the neural pathways making connections which promote ease of
movement and learning.
Level I teaches the most important primitive reflexes; how to integrate them with
rhythmic exercises; and how rhythmic exercises can be used to regulate muscle tone and
stimulate the cerebellum and the neo-cortex, especially the frontal lobes in order to
improve attention and impulse control.

Instructor
Carol Ann Erickson is an International Faculty member and instructor for the
Educational Kinesiology Foundation. She is the co-creator of Brain Gym for Educators and
the Brain Gym for Educators Instructor's Course. Over the past twenty two years, Carol Ann
has successfully used this specialized program with educators and athletes.
In addition to the Educational Kinesiology work, Carol Ann has studied with the developer
of RMT, Harald Blomberg and is an instructor of Rhythmic Movement Training. She has
successfully implemented this program with therapist, parents and children. It has been a
wonderful complementary movement program to the Movement Exploration Series.
